This lesson is for you if you can already chain and make a double crochet. If you're brand new to crochet, start with Crochet Basics, so we can spend this whole hour on your square.

Left-handed crocheters are welcome.

  • A crochet hook (5 mm is a good size to start with)
  • Two or three colours of medium-weight (worsted / #4) yarn
  • Scissors
  • A tapestry (yarn) needle
  • A device with a camera and a stable internet connection

Don't have supplies yet? Any craft store or dollar store carries the basics. Kits will be available from Delightie Crochet in the future.

Do I need to know how to crochet already?

Yes, a little. You should be comfortable with a chain and a double crochet. If you've never crocheted before, Crochet Basics is the right first step, and you can book this lesson after that.

Can we cover joining squares into a blanket?

If time allows, yes. Otherwise a follow-up Crochet SOS session is a good way to cover joining and borders.
